With Surfine, Dubuisson Brewery brings back a brand from its rich brewing history. Saisons have their origins in the Hainaut farms, where they were brewed during the cold season to refresh seasonal workers in the summer.
Surfine is a saison-style beer, filtered, top-fermented, and undergoes secondary fermentation in 33cl bottles. It is brewed with a 100% Belgian blend of 3 malts, 3 hops, and 3 types of yeast. Its bright golden blonde color and an alcohol content of 6.5% make it a light beer with a pronounced bitterness. Surfine is a refreshing and digestible beer thanks to its low sugar content.

This saison displays a beautiful bright golden blonde color. It sparkles like champagne due to the significant CO2 content.
On the nose, it reveals a hoppy character with fruity and floral aromas enhanced by subtle spicy notes with a peppery touch.
The first taste presents a dry and crisp bitterness, without being overwhelming. In the finish, this lingering bitterness is accompanied by delicate peppery notes. Overall, it is well-balanced and refreshing.

Een tripel/saison van #dubuisson, zeer toegankelijk en gebalanceerd, met als enige uitschieter zijn royale koolzuurgehalte. Dat leent zich natuurlijk wel bij toepassing in #beerpairings , bijvoorbeeld bij subtiele, maar ietwat vette ingrediënten zoals o.a. roomkaas. Of natuurlijk gewoon om het zonnetje mee door te spoelen. 🍻🌞

Een iets minder uitdagend bier, maar laat dat geen minpunt zijn. Bieren als deze brengen namelijk de nodige balans in een bierlandschap dat hedendaags meer en meer invloed ziet van extreme en bombastische bieren. Soms mag het ook gewoon toegankelijk zijn. Gebalanceerd. Simpel. Rustig. 😌

Been drinking less lately to try to shred a little quarantine weight, but I pulled one from the back of the fridge tonight. Surfine from @brasserie_dubuisson - advertised as a Tripel Saison.
Actually, not a bad brew. Hits the front of the tongue like a stronger tripel, but doesn`t linger and kind of disappears. Some Saison spice but not an overly flavorful backbone. Would probably be a refreshing casual drink on a warm day. Whenever we have one of those again!
